ARTISTIC DIRECTORS Kevin Frey and Jimmyle Listenbee are a husband-and-wife team of artists/teachers who split their residency between San José, California and Oxford, Mississippi.

Jimmyle Listenbee (pictured left) is a dancer, choreographer and teacher. She holds an MA in Dance from Columbia University (NYC) and an MA in Linguistics from San José State University.  A professor emerita at San José City College, where she directed the Dance Department for 30 years, Jimmyle now dances with various community groups and teaches Floe-Motion exercise at Changeling Dance.  www.changelingdance.org . She received a special award from the Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters, 2010, for choreography and costume design on the collaborative theater piece, The Passions of Walter Anderson.  She practices Soto Zen Buddhism and coaches meditation posture at Middle Way www.middlewayzen.org San Jose, and at Oxford Soto Zen  www.oxford-soto-zen.org in Oxford. 

Dr. Kevin Frey (pictured left) is a musician, composer and teacher. He holds a DMA in Music from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and directs the Music Department at San José City College.  He continues to perform on French Horn throughout North Mississippi in many musical contexts, from Classical - through Jazz -  to Blues. 

Frey-Listenbee's latest collaboration was Shardes, a choreographic quartet to music by Frey performed on Bert Levy's Composers@OleMiss, an avant-garde classical concert series.
GOVERNING BOARD MEMBERS Marian Bourdeaux Barksdale (pictured left) and Sally Starks (pictured left below) are each residents of Oxford, MS.

Mrs. Barksdale is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, and is a former program director for the Mississippi Arts Commission and consultant to arts organizations for strategic planning and board development.  She is a member of the Oxford School Board, St. Peter's Episcopal Church, and Quilthearts, a group that makes and donates quilts to families in need.

Mrs. Starks is a premier real-estate agent with Crye-Leike and an active member of the Second Baptist Church, serving there as a Deaconess and Vice-President of the Mission Board.  She also serves the community as Vice-President of the Oxford Pilot Club and Secretary of the OTS-CHS Alumni Association.
